vista is defective
all proper Vista Drivers. I found a lot of current DX9 games refused to start with an Error Msg. "File d3dx9_29.dll not found" ...or very similar name. There are 8 "d3dx_etc. I just copied them into the Windows\System32 in Vista. And then all the games I tried worked...FEAR Demo, Gothic 2 & Gothic 3 .
